Welcome to the Morinville Citizens on Patrol web site. We are a unique and diverse group of committed volunteers dedicated to working towards a safe and crime-free community. We have been active for over 15 years and are always looking for new members.

The safety of our volunteers is paramount - C.O.P. volunteers NEVER BECOME INVOLVED IN AN INCIDENT. We only observe and report what we see.

Our Objectives

We serve the citizens of Morinville and Cardiff by working in partnership with the R.C.M.P. and the community. We conduct vehicle, bicycle, and foot patrols, vehicle speed education sessions and seasonal theft from vehicles awareness programs.

What’s New

R.C.M.P. Citizen’s Academy starting soon - Interested in policing? Attend the Citizen’s Academy, starting January 23rd in Morinville and running for 10 Monday evenings. In the past, topics covered were drugs, auto theft, corrections, Internet crime, domestic violence, detachment & “K” division tours. Meet local officers and learn about policing from dedicated and enthusiastic professionals. Contact the Morinville detachment at 10512 - 101 Ave, Morinville, AB. 780-939-4550

Must be 16 years of age or older and able to pass a Police Information Check.
